Let's review transitions and animations!

We are going to begin a short unit on PowerPoint presentations.
PowerPoint allows us to create a "slide show" to put on display for others.
When are these used?
Today we will:
  • Choose a template
  • Create a title slide
  • Create 8 slides total
  • Place words and pictures on our PowerPoint
  • Add transitions (every slide) and animations (3 slides)
  • Display a presentation

Today, students will be working in groups to print out pictures for a timeline about Jazz.

We will use a Google Images search to locate and save images.
Then we will place these images onto a Word Document.
Each group will get up to 4 pages of printing.
SAVE your work before you leave in case you want to access it later.
When your WHOLE GROUP FINISHES, you may either practice typing on the websites from last week, or go onto GoogleEarth.

  • Today we are going to start creating spreadsheets using the Google Drive.
  • Why do we learn how to make spreadsheets?
    • Because they help us display numerical information.

    • Because we can create visual representations (charts) for our information.
  • First, I will show you a few things including: cells, rows, columns, entry, and how to add using the program.

Your team will be responsible for creating a Real Estate Ad to encourage people to move to a state. Use the Podcast Storyboard to plan your story, choose photos online, and tell us WHY we should visit your state. Today is a planning day to choose our teams and collect information.
